Vernitta McQueen
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Vernitta McQueen is passionate and dedicated. With roots in the Bahamas, she embraces her rich cultural heritage as a proud wife and mother to two young boys.
With a commitment to professional growth in the field of mental health, Vernitta is currently advancing her studies in the Master’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Grand Canyon University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Barry University in Miami, Florida, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
As a certified Spiritual Life Coach through the Dharma Coaching Institute, Vernitta integrates a holistic approach to counseling, addressing the mind, body, and spirit of her clients. Her experience spans working with diverse populations, including youth and adolescents, adults, at-risk youth, and immigrants. She enjoys employing flexible therapeutic approaches, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based techniques.
Vernitta’s mission is to make a meaningful impact in the counseling field by delivering professional mental health services rooted in compassion and holistic care. She believes in the transformative power of self-awareness and understanding to foster healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Vernitta is a creative soul who loves singing, songwriting, producing music, and exploring her artistic talents. She finds joy in the beach, traveling, spending time with loved ones, and connecting with nature through outdoor adventures.
