Tasha McDowell is an empathetic and dedicated mental health professional who is committed to helping you overcome obstacles and achieve personal growth. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida.
With a rich academic background, including a minor in Sociology and Crime, Law, and Deviance, as well as a certificate in Behavioral Forensics, Tasha brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to LiveWell Behavioral Health. Her research in attachment theory and the effects of psychological abuse during childhood reflects her passion for understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by young individuals.
Specializing in working with adolescents and young adults, Tasha focuses on areas such as identity, addiction, trauma, and mood disorders. She strives to empower her clients to make positive changes in their lives and values the importance of involving caregivers in the treatment process for younger clients.
In her free time, Tasha enjoys scuba diving, playing music, and spending quality time with her family. She firmly believes in the power of overcoming fear and choosing growth, as evidenced by one of her favorite quotes from Abraham Maslow: "One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again."
