FAQ for Psychoeducational Testing
The LiveWell Team offers high-level, comprehensive psychological assessments and testing services for children, adolescents, and adults.
Who do we test?
Psychological testing is available for children (age eligibility determined by need), adolescents, and adults. Most assessments can be conducted starting at age 6. However, the ADOS screening for autism may be administered to children as young as 12 months. For specific questions or to determine eligibility, please contact our office directly.
What is the purpose of psychological testing?
The goals of psychological testing are tailored to your individualized needs. Whether you’re seeking clarity on a current diagnosis or need guidance for future care, your testing psychometrist will order appropriate assessments to provide insight, clarity, and informed recommendations to support your overall health and well-being.
Who performs my testing?
Assessments are conducted by our team of licensed psychologists, professionally trained psychometrists, and supervised doctoral-level student interns.
What can be expected for the testing process?
Each psychological assessment includes the following components:
- Clinical Interview (approximately 60 minutes) (Parent(s) and/or guardian must attend this session if the testing client is a minor)
- One-on-one psychological testing (Testing sessions are conducted individually and may require three or more appointments, depending on the specific assessments needed. Your clinician will inform you of the estimated number and duration of appointments.)
- Final Feedback Session (During this appointment, you will receive your results along with a comprehensive written report. **Please note: Final payment is due prior to the feedback appointment.)
We recommend allowing adequate time to complete the full testing process. If you have a specific deadline (e.g., for school placement or accommodations, work, etc.), please inform us when scheduling your interview.
Where is the testing completed?
Most psychological testing is completed in person at one of our Melbourne office locations:
● 200 S. Harbor City Blvd, Suite 401, Melbourne FL 32901● 8249 Devereux Drive, Suite 101, Melbourne (Suntree) FL 32940
Some testing batteries and assessments may be completed online, depending on the type of testing ordered. Your clinician will inform you of the format and location for each component of your evaluation.
Does LiveWell file insurance for testing?
At this time, LiveWell does not direct bill insurance for psychological testing services. However, if you would like to self-submit a claim to your insurance company independently, please request a Superbill from your clinician.
