Kathi Harvey brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the field of mental health care, combining a deep commitment to compassionate, patient-centered treatment with an extensive background in medicine and disaster response. With a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from Florida Atlantic University, she has dedicated her career to serving individuals across all walks of life, particularly those recovering from trauma, crisis, and mental health challenges.

Her diverse background includes:

Faculty at Florida Atlantic University’s College of Nursing, where she taught in the graduate and doctoral programs.

Federal medical disaster response, providing critical care in the aftermath of natural disasters.

Clinical expertise in multiple medical settings, including trauma care, emergency departments, intensive care, women’s health, school health, and primary care.

Transition to psychiatric care, having previously worked as a primary care provider before choosing to specialize as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

EMDRIA-trained EMDR therapist, utilizing evidence-based techniques to help patients heal from trauma.

Having completed her PMHNP studies at Maryville University in Missouri, Kathi is passionate about helping individuals of all ages overcome trauma, navigate mental health challenges, and find renewed hope. She takes a holistic, patient-focused approach, tailoring treatment to meet each person’s unique needs.

Her expertise is particularly well-suited for those recovering from trauma or disaster, and she looks forward to incorporating EMDR therapy into her practice to further support her clients’ healing journeys.
