Brandon Little

BS, Master's Level Student Intern

Brandon Little is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern with a background in military service, emergency medical services, and crisis response. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health from Southern New Hampshire University and is currently completing his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University.

Brandon was born and raised in eastern North Carolina, and before entering the counseling field, served in the U.S. Army and later worked as a firefighter-paramedic. He currently works as a paramedic in a hospital emergency department. These experiences have given him the opportunity to work with people from diverse backgrounds, often during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. These experiences helped inspire his interest in mental health counseling and his desire to help people through difficult periods in their lives.

Brandon has a particular interest in working with veterans, individuals recovering from substance use, and justice-involved individuals, with additional interests in trauma, PTSD, crisis intervention, anxiety, and life transitions. He takes a compassionate and collaborative approach, believing that counseling should be a place where people feel heard, respected, and free from
judgment.

Outside of counseling and emergency medicine, Brandon enjoys listening to podcasts, staying active, and spending time with his wife of 18 years.
