Blair Golson

Chronic Pain Recovery Specialist | MSW, RCSWI

Many people living with chronic pain or persistent physical symptoms are told that nothing is medically wrong, yet their symptoms continue. Blair works with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, and chronic pain, particularly when physical symptoms appear connected to how the brain and nervous system respond to stress.

Clients often arrive feeling frustrated and confused. They may be dealing with chronic pain, headaches, fatigue, or other symptoms that medical tests have not fully explained. Being told that symptoms are “stress-related” can feel dismissive when no one clearly explains what that means or how healing can occur.

His work focuses on treating chronic pain and mind-body symptoms using Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), a neuroscience-based approach that retrains the brain’s pain pathways. Research shows that chronic pain can persist when the nervous system becomes sensitized and continues generating pain signals even after the body has healed. This does not mean the pain is imaginary. The pain is real, but the brain can develop learned patterns that keep symptoms going.

In addition to chronic pain, he works with clients experiencing anxiety, stress, and life transitions. Therapy focuses on understanding how the nervous system responds to stress and learning practical strategies that help restore a sense of safety and control.

Blair received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University. He has completed specialized training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy through the Pain Reprocessing Therapy Center.

He is a Florida Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (ISW23091).
