Blair Golson
Many people living with chronic pain or persistent physical symptoms feel caught between ongoing suffering and a medical system that says "nothing is wrong." That experience — of not being believed, or not having answers — can be exhausting and isolating. My work is about changing that.
I specialize in working with adults experiencing chronic pain, anxiety, and stress — particularly when symptoms are connected to how the brain and nervous system respond to stress. When the nervous system becomes sensitized, it can continue producing real pain and physical symptoms even after the body has healed. Understanding this isn't just reassuring — it opens the door to genuine change. I use Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET), both evidence-based approaches designed to address the nervous system patterns that keep symptoms going.
In our work together, I help clients build awareness of how stress and emotions show up in the body, develop practical tools for calming the nervous system, and rebuild confidence in their own physical experience. I also work with people navigating anxiety, stress, and life transitions — especially when they want a clearer understanding of what's happening in their body and more effective ways to respond.
I hold a Bachelor's degree from Yale University and a Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University; I am certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy; I have advanced training in Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy; and I am a Florida Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (ISW23091).
