Alana Sadhu

MS, LMHC

Alana has been rigorously involved in the field of mental health for over 10 years. Starting off in the field as an innovator, she was troubled by seeing her peers struggling with addiction, teen pregnancy, domestic violence and other distressing factors when they had limited resources. Using her own personal experiences, strong will and determination, she created a program in her school called Teens in Distress where she pioneered a peer-based counseling program to talk students through their troubles, guiding them through using hope, support and resources.

Alana earned a dual-Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the accredited Florida International University. She then began her practice as a primary therapist in the medical detox unit at the chemical dependency center, Sunrise Detox Center in Orlando, Florida while simultaneously completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the accredited Argosy University of Southern California and began working on her licensure. Moving on to the riveting role as a Licensed Clinical Consultant with JourneyPure, serving as, what she refers to as the “crisis consultant of addiction treatment”, being on the frontline for adults struggling with the disease of addiction. Alana quickly became an expert in performing comprehensive clinical evaluations while providing a prognosis for individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health issues, compassionately bridging the gap between the assessment and treatment. Alana worked with everyone, whether they were insured or indigent.

Alana is a well-known mental health practitioner and community liaison in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Brevard counties. She currently serves as the Director of Clinical Programming at LiveWell. She is passionate about understanding people’s needs and restoring health and wellness in the community. Alana specialized in both adolescents and adults experiencing things like anxiety, depression, lifestyle challenges, relationship issues, trauma and addiction.
